Adoption Procedure
1. Fill out the Pre-Adopter Form

Prospective Adopters mandatory fill in Pre-Adopter Form in detail and completely. The Pre Adopter form can be downloaded and printed via the following link:

2. Submitting the Pre-Adopter Form to the Foundation

After the pre-adopter form is filled in completely and in detail, Prospective Adopter mandatory submit the form in the form hardcopy / print to the Address of the Metta Mama and Maggha Foundation at Jalan Gunung Lawu No. 30, Pemecutan Kelod, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City (80119) On behalf of the Maggha Karaneya Kang.

3. Interview I

Pre-Adopter form will pass selection stage beforehand and when stated qualify, The Foundation will contact Prospective Adopters to have it made first interview schedule
Prospective Adopters will do offline interviews so that Prospective Adopters are required to come to the address of the Foundation.

4. Fill out and complete the Adopter Form

Once stated passed the first interview, Prospective Adopters are required to fill out and complete the Adopter Form which can be downloaded at the following link:

As well as sending all the files listed on the form in the form hardcopy / print to the address of the Metta Mama dan Maggha Foundation.

5. Interview II

After the Adopter Form has been sent and received and its completeness checked, the Foundation will contact the Prospective Adopter again to schedule it Second Interview. Prospective adopters will conduct an interview offline so that Prospective Adopters are required to come to the address of the Foundation

6. Psychological Test

Prospective Adopters mandatory to do a psychological test in Bali with psychologist appointed by the Foundation by including a letter of introduction from the Foundation.
The cost of the psychological test is entirely the responsibility of the Prospective Adopter, with the test results being sent directly to the Foundation.

7. Interview III

If from the results of a psychological test declared mentally ready to become a Prospective Adoptive Parent, then the Prospective Adopter will be contacted again by the Foundation to be scheduled Third Interview offline so it is mandatory to come to the address of the Foundation.

8. Home Visit and Meet the Big Family

The Foundation will visit the prospective adopter's house and meet with the mother, father, grandfather, grandmother and the extended family of the prospective adopter. This is done because a child must be accepted and acknowledged by the whole extended family, not just by both parents.

Home Visit Terms:

  • Bringing the whole extended family to the prospective adopter's home.
  • Accommodation and transportation costs are entirely the responsibility of the Prospective Adopter.
  • The Home Visit will be carried out by 2 (two) people from the Foundation in a maximum of 2 nights (which adjusts to the area of ​​the home visit)
9. Bonding / Approach

The Foundation Parties will inform Prospective Children and Schedules for bonding to Prospective Adopters. Bonding itself can be done by Prospective Adopters during approximately 2-4 weeks.

10. Home Visit Temporary Care by Foundations and the Local Social Service, and a Letter of Recommendation from the Social Service

When assessed passed the bonding stage, then the Foundation will do Temporary Care for Prospective Adopters known and witnessed by the Social Service. Temporary care is done for at least 6 months with direct monitoring by the Foundation.

After 6 months of temporary care by the Prospective Adopter, the local Social Services Department or Foundation will carry out visit (Home Visit) to monitor the growth and development of children. Next made child progress report.

If the parenting period is temporary assessed as good from the results of the visit report (Home Visit), then the Social Services will issue Child Adoption Permit Recommendation Letter with the approval of the Licensing Service as a basis for stepping into Court Decision.

11. Court Decision

After the publication of the Letter of Recommendation for Adoption Permit, Prospective Adopters can begin to proceed adoption process to the stage of court determination.

12. Registered as a Legally Adopted Child at the Ministry of Social Affairs

After there is court ruling, a copy of the stipulation is submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs for recording so that the adoption of a child becomes legal.

13. Monitoring of Adopted Children

After a court decision is made and it is recorded at the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Foundation will continue to do so intensive monitoring.
Monitoring of adopted children is carried out by the Foundation by conducting Home Visits regularly towards children at least the first 5 years since the delivery of the baby and until the child is 17 years old. By staying in touch with the Foundation, Adopters have obligation to keep sending information related to child development at least once a week to the Foundation as a monitoring process.
