Brother Maggha gave me the name

“Shamaila Melba Ismena”

Shamaila means beautiful girl, Melba means gentle and Isena means an old soul or wise.

It was my mother who contacted me since I was 6 months pregnant, through social media my mother found out about the Mettamamamaggha Foundation.

Mom was confused about my presence in her womb, because Dad refused to take responsibility. At first, it was beautiful because Dad seemed kind and responsible and promised to marry her if anything happened. And Mom foolishly believed everything Dad said, and when Dad found out I was in her womb, he immediately disappeared without a trace. Mom was left alone. Mom met Dad while she was away from home, and returning to her parents' house was not the right answer for her.

"Mom, I'm scared"

"Mom, Bali is so big, I've never been to Bali"

"Mom, you don't have the money to give birth and don't know how to go to a safe house in Bali."

"Mom, is it safe at home? Will it cost anything, because I don't have any money?"

"Mother, please welcome the baby in my womb to a safe home, because this is the only and best solution," all these questions came from my mother.

Mama has many fears and worries, what will happen to my future if I am with her?

The social stigma about children born without a father, or I will be called the family's illegitimate child.

My mother followed her conscience, believing that handing me over to the foundation was the best choice. I would be safe, loved by many kind people, and my basic needs would be met. She wanted me to be safe.

Finally, Mama was accepted into the Safe House with various requirements and following the procedures. After giving birth, Mama returned to the island of Java, where Mama was born.

Wa mama to mother shortly after I was born

"Good afternoon, Mom. Nia (pseudonym) has given birth. Now she's in recovery. Thank you, Mom, for your health, your endless blessings, and God's protection. Thank you for your health. Nia will always remember that."

And since that day, I started living at MettaMamaMaggha's house with my brothers and sisters, this is my story of how I arrived at a safe house.
