JIYU JAYASURYA

Hello dear mom...

My mother named me Jiyu Jaya Surya, inspired by the Nepalese word Jiyu, meaning Wisdom, and Jayasurya meaning Victory of the Sun. My mother hoped I would grow up to be a wise child with a character like the sun. The sun is always alone but still stands tall, always shining on this earth, always bringing light.

I was born as the third child. My mother contacted the foundation because she felt she would not be able to care for me when I was born. My story can serve as a lesson for other women to be wiser in choosing a life partner. My mother had been married before and then failed in her marriage, but was blessed with a child. Years later, she married her lover in secret, whom she believed would be the head of the family and protect her. However, life had a different plan. After becoming pregnant with me, my mother learned that my biological father was already married and had a wife and children.

The mother's mistake was to just believe all the words that were said, when the lie was revealed the mother already had 1 child and was pregnant.

Taking care of two children is not an easy thing, and of course the arrival of a third child without support from her husband, from her family and just by herself, made my mother feel worried that she wouldn't be able to take care of me when I was born.

After thinking a thousand times and feeling that if I lived in a foundation my life would be better…
