OFFICIAL PROCEDURES FOR ADOPTING THE METTA MAMA & MAGGHA FOUNDATION

ADOPTION CONDITIONS
All adoption conditions follow provisions of the Laws and Regulations of the Republic of Indonesia:

  1. Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
  2. Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation Number 54 of 2007 concerning Implementation of Child Adoption.
  3. Regulation of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 110/HUK/2009 concerning Requirements for Adoption of Children.

Prospective adoptive parents must meet the following requirements:

  1. Physically and mentally healthy;
  2. The minimum age is 30 (thirty) years and the maximum is 55 (fifty five) years;
  3. Religion is the same as the religion of the prospective adopted child;
  4. Be of good behavior and have never been punished for committing a crime;
  5. Married status for at least 5 (five) years;
  6. Not a same-sex couple;
  7. Do not have children or if you have only one child (or according to the recommendation of the Social Service);
  8. In a state of being able economically and socially;
  9. Obtain the child's consent and written permission from the parent or guardian of the child or the child protection agency;
  10. Make a written statement that adoption is in the best interests of the child, the welfare and protection of the child;
  11. There is a social report from the local social worker or a report from the Child Protection Agency;
  12. Has taken care of the prospective adopted child for at least 6 (six) months, since the parenting permit was granted; and
  13. Obtain permission from the Minister and/or head of a social agency.
Currently adoptions are available for Domestic (WNI) and intercountry adoption (WNA)
